History

Percy Lodge No. 198 is an Atholl Lodge & is descended from ‘Ancients Grand Lodge’ established in 1751. Today there are 122 Atholl Lodges still in existence.

The Lodge was established in 1791 and was named in 1817. In 1791 the lodge met at the Sun tavern, Devereux Court, Temple & now it meets at the Freemasons Hall, London. As part of the Bicentenary celebrations in 1991, the Lodge gained permission to use the crest & name of the ‘House of Percy’ from the Duke of Northumberland.
